Safety TrainingINSI has provided safety training free of charge for hundreds of journalists in Iraq, Africa, Latin America, Asia and other hotspots in a continuing programme. We are the only organisation doing this in a sustained way.To date, INSI has trained 1,595 media staff in 21 countries.

Media Military RelationsThe British military has formally recognised the issue of journalist safety in war in its media operational procedures.This follows an INSI-led initiative by major news organisations concerned over the mounting death toll of news media staff on the modern battlefield. |
Global Hostage Crisis GroupThe risk of kidnapping has become increasingly serious for news media staff around the world. At least 72 were kidnapped in 2007 and 16 of them were murdered.INSI offered then to set up a service to bridge the knowledge gap.
