Live News: A Survival Guide for Journalists (IFJ)

On Assignment: Covering Conflicts Safely (CPJ)

Staying Alive, Safety and security guidelines for humanitarian volunteers (ICRC)

Staying AliveDavid Lloyd Roberts, a very experienced safety advisor, trainer and consultant in the humanitarian world up-dated a small but very readable safety guide for humanitarians in 2006. It was published in English by the ICRC. It's called "Staying Alive. Safety and security guidelines for humanitarian volunteers." This safety guide is sure to be a good reference and resource tool for all those who work in areas of armed conflicts and other types of armed violence, not just for humanitarians.
