Representatives of the Tajik diaspora in Moscow say that Bakhtiyor Sattori was admitted to hospital No 7 in Moscow Region's Kolomenskiy District and underwent a surgery this morning. Doctors say that state of his health is very serious.
Sattori left the flat, in which he was living temporarily, at about 2300 [Moscow time, 1900 gmt] yesterday to buy cigarettes and was attacked by unknown people.
The reasons and motives behind the attack on Sattori remain unknown.
